Follow-up work to the February 1989 meeting has culminated in MacArthur Foundation grants to the Population Council, ISIS-Latin America, National Black Women's Health Project, WAND (Women and Development Unit, University of the West Indies), and work is underway and with other meeting participants to generate proposals for submission to the MacArthur Foundation.
