In collaboration with the Communications Consortium, IWHC hosted a briefing and luncheon for Ms. Alexandra Momdjan and Dr. Irina Manuilova of the Soviet Union and representatives from four U.S. foundations. Ms. Momdjan, M. Gorbachev's appointee to the directorship of the International Women's Center, and Dr. Irina Manuilova, President of Association Family and Health, explained the work of the Center and their hopes and plans for its future. Ms. Leeda Marting, Center for US-USSR Initiatives, and Rogow chaired the meeting.
