With IWHC staff assistance, SIDA, Ford, and ODA agreed to provide $900,000 for three-year program (1988-1991), and Government of Bangladesh approved funding June, 1989. The Ford Foundation has approved a one-year, $60,000 grant to IWHC to provide technical assistance to BWHC. This will include medical evaluations and training, research support and overseas training for BWHC staff. IWHC also assisting BWHC informally to consider research on prevalence and management of RTIs.
