Building on small grants in FY 1987, and FY 1988 one-year core support grant ($22,308) made in February 1988, second core support grant for $20,000 made in April for staff training in Colombia, clinic services and equipment. AVESA has raised $25,000 of $105,000 needed to purchase building. With IWHC assistance, Jessie Smith Noyes Foundation has approved $35,000 grant to AVESA. GSF has contributed $16,000 through IWHC, and the Prospect Hill Foundation is considering an IWHC proposal for $25,000 of the remaining $29,000.
