Ford/Jakarta started November 1, 1986 to provide technical assistance for standardization and experimental implementation of high quality reproductive health care in seven IPPA clinics. Leveraged grant from Ford/Jakarrta ($106,000) funds IPPA. Studies on M.R. techniques, and on counselling at Bali clinic, distributed at Tietze Symposium and under revision for local and international publication, respectively. Germain, Bangser, and IWHC consultant conducted second interim review in January 1989 covering data management, clinic use of client data, research, and future project development. Review indicated excellent progress and Bangser will assist in design of new three-year project in August for funding by Ford Foundation. Germain and Bangser also undertook assessment of potential program development in Indonesia for IWHC and The Ford Foundation (at request of Ford Representative in Indonesia). Substantial potential for research and public education exist.
