I would say that the work of AHI fed into the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development. But the outcome document of ICPD itself helped establish the work that Action Health continued to do. It was a strong framing document for advocacy, especially with policymakers. We could go out and say, “See this document that governments around the world signed onto, including the Nigerian government, that this is what we will do for young people, that this is what we will do about eliminating discrimination against girls. This is what we will do about ensuring that the rights of women are protected within relationships. What are we doing about it?”
