In November 1989, Bangser participated in a Ford Foundation program review of population and reproductive health in the Philippines to identify potential program areas for the Ford/Manila office to support. As a result of the mission, the Ford/Manila office has recently recruited a full-time program officer for reproductive health and approved an increased budget for this work.
