New two-year, $92,000 grant from Ford/Manila to IWHC, started March 1, 1990 to complement leveraged grant of $100,000 from Ford/Manila to ISSA for public education activities on reproductive rights. Major initiatives for 1990-1991 ISSA program include research on reproductive health, launching a national grassroots women's health network, monitoring existing and pending legislation that threatens reproductive rights, producing targeted information materials for legislators, media and grassroots. Bangser and Senior Latin American consultant provided technical assistance in June 1990 on coalition-building and advocacy.
