Indonesia, Reproductive Tract Infections (RTIs), November 1990 (IWHC Project)
$120,000 project in collaboration with IPPA and Johns Hopkins University started October 1, 1987 to assess the nature and management of reproductive tract infections in M.R. clients of IPPA clinic in Bali, Indonesia. Ford/Jakarta funding $73,550 of total required for IWHC technical assistance through grants in 1986 and 1990. Final data cleaning and analysis now underway. Preliminary findings: cervicitis (40%), bacterial vaginosis (22%), yeast (21%), trichomonas (9%), chlamydia (6%), gonorrhea (1%), syphilis (0.55%). Approximately four papers will be drafted on findings of research study.
