Indonesia: Reproductive Tract Infections (RTIs), October 1989 (IWHC Project)
Eighteen-month, $120,000 project in collaboration with IPPA and Johns Hopkins University started October 1, 1987 to investigate the nature and management of reproductive tract infections in M.R. clients of IPPA clinic in Bali, Indonesia. Ford/Jakarta funding $60,000 of total for IWHC technical assistance through grant begun November 1, 1989. Final data cleaning and analysis now underway. Preliminary findings: cervicitis (26%), bacterial vaginosis (21%), yeast (16%), trichomonas (7%), chlamydia (4%), and gonorrhea (0.8%).
