With special MacArthur Foundation support, IWHC convened a seminar of 27 women's health advocates, health service providers, health policy makers and researchers from eight Third World countries and the U.S. on "Resources for Women's Reproductive Health in the Third World" (Miami, February 9-11, 1989). Report completed and distributed, and under revision for publication, possibly by the UNFPA. Follow-up work has culminated in MacArthur Foundation grants to the Population Council, ISIS-Latin America, and other meeting participants; work with the National Black Women's Health Project, WAND (Women and Development Unit, University of the West Indies), and the Boston Women's Health Book Collective underway to generate collaborative proposals also for submission to the MacArthur Foundation.
