Bangser is a member of International Advisory Committee to IWHM. IWHC made two grants totaling $25,000 to the IWHM (including earmarked $10,000 from Cowell Foundation), and also travel grants to eleven Third World colleagues. Conference organizing committee requested IWHC to sponsor five sessions on unwanted pregnancy which Bangser helped organize in Manila. Meeting showed growth in understanding of complexity of reproductive health and rights issues and need to accommodate multiple viewpoints. Participants came from all regions and a variety of backgrounds.
